SPARTANBURG, S.C. — The Chattanooga Mocs men’s basketball tilt against Furman set for Saturday, January 15, has been selected to air nationally on CBS Sports Network along with four other regular-season Southern Conference games this season, the league office announced Wednesday.
 
“We are very excited about our new CBS Sports Network agreement that expands our national linear television coverage to be among the best nationally among our peers,” SoCon Commissioner Jim Schaus said. “It speaks to the continued success in men’s basketball that ranked us in the top 10 conferences nationally last year among 32 Division I conferences.
 
“Thanks to the outstanding leadership at CBS Sports for making this partnership a reality.”
 
The game against the Paladins, previously scheduled for 4 p.m. ET, will now tip at 3 p.m. ET inside McKenzie Arena. This addition marks the third national TV game this season for the Mocs as contests against ETSU (12/30) and Mercer (2/5) will air on ESPNU.
 
The conference has been allotted two ‘Wildcard games’ on January 29 and February 5. The matchups will be determined in the weeks leading up to the contests.
