Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker are engaged.

The drummer popped the question on Sunday at the Rosewood Miramar hotel in Montecito, California, and Kourtney posted the engagement news and a snap of her new ring on Instagram, as well as photos of the couple embracing.

“forever @travisbarker,” she wrote.

Kourtney’s sister Kim Kardashian was among the first to publicly congratulate the couple, tweeting footage of the pair and captioning the shot: “KRAVIS FOREVER.”

Reports suggest Kourtney’s other sister, Khloe Kardashian, and her on/off boyfriend Tristan Thompson were present as Travis asked his girlfriend to be his wife, while Kourtney’s mom, Kris Jenner, joined the group to celebrate.

The engagement news comes a day after Kourtney joined Travis in New York City for his appearance on Saturday Night Live, alongside rapper Young Thug.

The sketch comedy regulars and sister Kim poked fun at the couple’s very hands-on relationship last week, when Kim portrayed Kourtney as a TV judge in a skit and comedian Mikey Day played a horny Travis, who could not leave his girlfriend alone.

Vince Neil is recovering from a stage fall at a concert in Tennessee on Friday night.

The Motley Crue rocker was rushed to hospital after taking a tumble at the Monster on the Mountain festival in Pigeon Forge with his solo band.

Sources claim he was only a few songs into his set when he fell through a gap between a speaker and the stage, and had to be helped to his feet by a roadie and a security guard.

Bassist Dana Strum told the crowd, “Vince fell and broke ribs… He can’t breathe and he’s gonna get dealt with medically. He was so excited to be here. He lives in Tennessee. But he was willing to stick it out and tough it out when the people back here were telling him, ‘Don’t do it’. Let’s have one good round of applause, please, for this guy.”

The band carried on without Vince, with guitarist Jeff Blando taking over lead vocals.

Judas Priest frontman Rob Halford secretly battled prostate cancer during the COVID lockdown.

The rocker has revealed in a new interview he’s in remission after winning his fight with cancer in 2020.

“That happened while we were all locked down, so things happen for a reason as far as time sequence of events,” he tells Consequence. “I have nothing but gratitude to be at this point in my life, still doing what I love the most.”

He has detailed his cancer battle in a new chapter added to the updated paperback edition of his 2020 memoir, Confess, revealing he was both surprised and relieved by his diagnosis.

“I felt a combination of shock, horror, and oddly, relief – at least now I know… ‘Am I going to die?'” he writes. “It was all I could think of. I know blokes who’ve died of prostate cancer: ‘No, you’re not going to die, Rob,’ said Dr. Ali.”

He underwent a prostatectomy, during which doctors removed his entire prostate gland and some of the infected tissue around it.

Halford reveals more cancer was found earlier this year and he underwent radiation treatments in April and May and an appendectomy after a tumor was discovered on his appendix before getting the all-clear in June.

“It’s been a draining year, I can’t deny it, but I’m delighted to have come through it,” Halford wrote in the book, according to Consequence, revealing a commercial for the Phoenix Children’s hospital gave him the strength to fight cancer.

“It showed kids with cancer,” he said. “Some only babies. They were lying there, with tubes coming out of them, fighting for their lives. They didn’t know what was going on… It made me feel totally ashamed of myself: ‘Rob, how dare you be so selfish?’ And from that second, I changed my entire mental attitude towards my disease.”

The news of Rob’s cancer battle comes just weeks after the band was forced to scrap the remainder of its 2021 dates following guitarist Richie Faulkner’s onstage acute cardiac aortic dissection during the band’s performance at the Louder Than Life festival in Kentucky.

Faulkner was rushed to the hospital after the band’s set and surgeons spent 10 hours saving his life.

Late Playboy boss Hugh Hefner’s former girlfriend Bridget Marquardt is convinced his fabled mansion in Holmby Hills, Los Angeles is haunted.

The Girls Next Door reality star feels certain the old place is full of spooks, and she once saw the ghost of a woman in her bedroom.

“(There are) ghost stories dating back decades from that mansion,” Marquardt said during an appearance on the Dark House podcast, explaining the woman who appeared in her room was a former mansion employee.

“My sister, myself, and my friend Stacy were all sitting on my bed,” Bridget recalled. “We were talking, having a glass of wine, and the TV was on. All of a sudden, out of the corner of all of our eyes, we saw a woman standing in my closet.

“Of course when I turned to look at it straight on, it was gone… She had black, long kind of stringy hair and she was very pale and very skinny. And she was wearing a white T-shirt that was way too big on her and black acid-wash jeans. She was just standing there staring.”

Far from being scared, Bridget revealed she actually recognized the woman: “Before I lived in the mansion I was invited to test for Playmate, and I met this woman who was a social secretary at the mansion. She was super friendly. She was kind of like the house mom. She knew about all the pets and she knew about all the girls. She was just amazing.

“I’m pretty sure it was her who was standing there.”

Marquardt revealed there were other spooky goings-on at the Playboy Mansion during her time there, and the place was full of weird vibes.

Hefner once told her the home’s original owner had fallen to her death on the estate and famously haunted the grounds.

Britney Spears is terrified of upsetting fans and doing something stupid now she’s so close to regaining her freedom.

The pop star’s father, Jamie, was recently suspended as her conservator and it’s beginning to look like the restrictive agreement that has been hanging over her for 13 years will soon be over.

But fear is beginning to overshadow her happiness, because the Toxic singer doesn’t want to be caught on camera messing up and doing something that might make people question whether she’s ready to live life without a conservator.

“I’ll just be honest and say I’ve waited so long to be free from the situation I’m in… and now that it’s here I’m scared to do anything because I’m afraid I’ll make a mistake!!!” Britney said at the beginning of a message to fans posted on Instagram on Friday.

“For so many years I was always told if I succeeded at things, it could end… and it never did!!! I worked so hard but now that it’s here and getting closer and closer to ending I’m very happy but there’s a lot of things that scare me!!!”

It’s clear Britney is still scared of the photographers who have hounded her in the past, with the singer adding: “The paps (paparazzi) run through the trees and onto the road when I drive home and it’s creepy!!!! And I have to drive by an elementary school… the kids are a big deal… but so am I!!!!! I don’t like that they (photographers) try to scare me and jump out like they do… it’s like they want me to do something crazy!!!

“I’m fearful of doing something wrong… so I won’t be posting as much in a world where it’s our liberty to be free, it’s a shame!!! I started experiencing that when I got the keys to my car for the first time 4 months ago and it’s been 13 years!!!!”

Britney is trying to lift her spirits by celebrating Christmas a little early and posted a photo of a decorated tree in her home.

Alongside the shot, she penned: “I believe any reason to find more joy in life is a good idea… and it’s no secret that I’ve been through it in the past… so I might have to do things a little differently from now on!!! Lord have mercy on my family’s souls if I ever do an interview!!!

“In the meantime… I’m staying clear of the business which is all I’ve ever known my whole life… which is why this is so very confusing for me!!! Anyway… God bless you all!!!”

Judi Dench is refusing to retire.

The 86-year-old actress has no intention of slowing down and thinks if she gives up work, she might as well just give up on life too.

She said: “Retirement is not a word used in my house… You don’t retire, for goodness sake! You might as well fall onto a shelf and lie down.”

The star admitted the coronavirus pandemic has made her more emotional.

She told the Daily Mail’s Baz Bamigboye: “I find that your emotions are much rawer. It’s the uncertainty of not knowing how we’re going to come out of it.”

And Judi was delighted to get back to work last year on filmmaker Kenneth Branagh’s upcoming movie Belfast, despite the various safety measures in place.

She said: “(It was) glorious… like suddenly being released from a cage.”

However, because of her deteriorating eyesight, the veteran actress – who suffers from macular degeneration – admitted it was tough trying to figure out people’s faces on set while everyone was wearing masks.

She quipped: “I kept going up to the wrong person, having a conversation, and they’d say, ‘I’m not who you think I am.'”

“Halloween Kills” may be available to watch at home, but the latest installment in the Michael Myers saga is making a killing at the North American box office in its first weekend in theaters. The David Gordon Green-directed horror scared up $50.4 million from 3,705 locations, according to studio estimates Sunday.

Universal’s “Halloween Kills” far surpassed expectations, which had the film pegged for a more conservative debut in the $30 million range. It also easily bested its main competition, which included the James Bond pic “No Time to Die,” in its second weekend, and Ridley Scott’s medieval epic “The Last Duel.” Both are playing exclusively in theaters.

The film picks up where Green’s 2018 “Halloween” left off, on the same bloody night, with Jamie Lee Curtis back as Laurie Strode. Some were surprised when the studio made the decision to release “Halloween Kills” simultaneously in theaters and on NBC Universal’s Peacock for premium subscribers, but the day-and-date strategy does not seem to have hurt its box office haul.

“David Gordon Green crafted an incredibly terrifying continuation of this franchise that our core audience was more than eager to come out to the theater to see,” said Jim Orr, Universal’s head of domestic distribution. “Audiences want to be out, they want to be in theaters, and they want to experience it communally.”

Before “Halloween Kills,” which had a reported $20 million production budget, the biggest day-and-date opening of the year was Warner Bros.’ “Godzilla vs. Kong” which grossed $32.2 million in its first weekend while also being available on HBO Max. It’s a best for a pandemic-era horror opening, narrowly beating out “A Quiet Place Part II.”

The 2018 “Halloween” was a massive hit that opened to $76.2 million and went on to gross north of $256 million against a $10 million budget. And there are plans for a third that will close out the modern Michael Myers trilogy.

The opening weekend crowd for “Halloween Kills” was slightly more male (52%), and it was diverse (36% Caucasian, 34% Hispanic and 18% Black), according to exit polls.

“Horror movies have been a mainstay of the box office throughout the pandemic,” said Paul Dergarabedian, Comscore’s senior media analyst. “Audiences just love seeing horror movies in a movie theater. … But this also isn’t just a horror movie, ‘Halloween’ is a huge brand, and this is 43 years in the making.”

The James Bond film “No Time To Die” slid into second place in its second weekend in North America with $24.3 million, which is down only 56% from last weekend and brings its total to $99.5 million. Globally, “No Time to Die” has earned $447,521 million.

Further down the charts is “The Last Duel,” Scott’s 14th century drama starring Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, Jodie Comer and Adam Driver, which has earned only an estimated $4.8 million from 3,065 locations despite positive reviews and an exclusive theatrical run. Distributed by the Walt Disney Co., “The Last Duel” was a title the company inherited in the deal with 20th Century Fox.

Next week Warner Bros.’ big budget adaptation of “Dune” opens in North American theaters and on HBO Max, as does Disney’s “Ron’s Gone Wrong” and Wes Anderson’s “The French Dispatch.”

“Every week we’re getting a lesson in the dynamics of this marketplace as related to the various release models,” said Dergarabedian. “’Halloween Kills’ is important because people could have just sat at home where the buy-in was modest. This is evidence of the power of the movie theater and its allure and appeal to the moviegoer.”

Estimated ticket sales for Friday through Sunday at U.S. and Canadian theaters, according to Comscore. Final domestic figures will be released Monday.

1. “Halloween Kills,” $50.4 million.

2. “No Time to Die,” $24.3 million.

3. “Venom: Let There Be Carnage,” $16.5 million.

4. “The Addams Family 2,” $7.2 million.

5. “The Last Duel,” $4.8 million.

6. “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings,” $3.5 million.

7. “Free Guy,” $680,000.

8. “Lamb,” $543,000.

9. “Candyman,” $460,000.

10. “Dear Evan Hansen,” $410,000.

Sean Penn’s wife, Leila George, has filed for divorce.

The actor, 61, wed the 28-year-old beauty on 30 July 2020, but just over one year into their marriage Leila has filed to legally end their union.

According to TMZ, the Australian actress, who is the daughter of Vincent D’Onofrio, filed divorce papers on Friday in Los Angeles County Superior Court.

It’s unknown what Leila has cited as the reason for her divorce filing.

The news comes following reports Sean had to “win back” Leila, with whom he’s been in an on-off relationship since 2016. Things continued that way for several years until the last time they went their separate ways, which prompted the Flag Day star to “work hard” on fixing their bond.

A source said: “Leila has been in Sean’s life for a while. They got together and then they broke up, and Sean won her back.

“He realized he had made a mistake and when he felt he might lose her, he worked hard to get her back.”

The couple isolated together amid the coronavirus pandemic and it was alleged lockdown helped strengthen their relationship and made them realize their future together.

The insider added: “They got back together during COVID and became really close and got engaged a few months ago, early during quarantine.”

Sean – who has children Dylan, 30, and Hopper, 28, with ex-wife Robin Wright, and was also previously married to Madonna – recently revealed he and Leila married over Zoom, with the officiant carrying out proceedings via video link.

He said: “We did a COVID wedding. By that, I mean it was a county commissioner on Zoom and we were at the house with my two children and her brother, and we did it that way.”

Netflix bosses have fired an employee who leaked confidential data regarding Dave Chappelle’s controversial new comedy special, The Closer.

Bloomberg editors used the information in a Wednesday report, revealing chiefs at the streaming platform chiefs spent $24.1 million on the comedian’s The Closer and $23.6 million on Sticks & Stones, Chappelle’s previous stand-up show for Netflix, which aired in 2019.

And on Friday, a representative for the company told The Hollywood Reporter the staffer had been fired for divulging the figures.

“We have let go of an employee for sharing confidential, commercially sensitive information outside the company,” the statement read. “We understand this employee may have been motivated by disappointment and hurt with Netflix, but maintaining a culture of trust and transparency is core to our company.”

Netflix bosses have been criticized for airing a comedy special that pokes fun at the LGBTQ+ community and three employees who publicly attacked the decision were suspended earlier this week.

Also on Friday, Australian comedian Hannah Gadsby, whose 2018 comedy special Nanette was a huge Netflix hit, joined the growing chorus of disapproval over platform boss Ted Sarandos’ comments in support of Chappelle’s show, in which the comedian endorses views about transgender people, which the LGBTQ+ community and its allies consider offensive and transphobic.

Sarandos and his fellow executives in charge of the streaming service have also refused to remove the special.

Hannah shared a screen shot of a note she wrote to Sarandos, in which she raged: “You didn’t pay me nearly enough to deal with the real world consequences of the hate speech dog whistling you refuse to acknowledge, Ted. F**k you and your amoral algorithm cult… I do s**ts with more back bone than you. That’s just a joke! I definitely didn’t cross a line because you just told the world there isn’t one.”

The Hollywood Reporter sources also suggest around 1,000 Netflix staff members, who identify as transgender or are supporters of the trans community, are planning a virtual walk-out on Wednesday, to further protest the decision by Sarandon and his fellow executives to stand behind The Closer.
