In 2015, Governor Phil Bryant signed a proclamation declaring November twentieth of every 12 months to be Mississippi Rural Health Day. As we attempt for rural improvement to enhance entry to high quality healthcare, we admire and respect the great thing about what’s “rural”. The rural plight is a novel one with pure assets for lots and group for all. These communities are important to Mississippi’s economic system and social well-being.
The Mississippi Office of Rural Health and Primary Care (MORHPC) encourages companions, suppliers, and employers to have fun MS Rural Health Day as all of us attempt to proceed making an impression within the lives of rural Mississippians. We help, acknowledge, and encourage the fervent and selfless efforts of rural healthcare suppliers, employers, and group leaders in Mississippi
It’s Time to Act and Make an Impact Mississippi! Let’s proceed to be catalysts for change in rural communities statewide by spear-heading change, encouraging innovation, and difficult the established order.
- Spear-heading Change – Improving greatest practices for recruiting and retaining physicians in your rural group
- Encouraging Innovation – Creating protected areas and alternatives for suppliers to broaden their skilled skill-set

The Mississippi Office of Rural Health and Primary Care invitations you to hitch us in celebrating Mississippi Rural Health Day to focus on the continued efforts of rural healthcare suppliers, employers, and companions to deal with the distinctive plight and healthcare challenges of rural Mississippians. This open-house occasion can be held Monday, November twentieth from 10am – 3pm, after we will honor our rural group heroes, acknowledge the efforts of rural stakeholders, and have fun rural Mississippi!
