Indian Army carries out encounter at Baramulla district

An encounter had started at the Wanigam Bala area of Baramulla district. Police and security forces are on the job. Joint Security Forces uses minimum ammunition to protect a mosque near the encounter site at Wanigam Bala area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district. “Bulletproof vehicles were placed in front of the Mosque to minimise the chances of damage. In addition, no major ammunition like IEDs, MGLs were used. The operation was launched jointly by Baramulla police and 29RR,” informed Indian Army. Early morning one terrorist was also killed in the encounter.

Consumer Price Index for Industrial Workers in June increased by 0.2 points and stood at 129.2

The All-India CPI-IW for June increased by 0.2 points and stood at 129.2. On 1-month percentage change, it increased by 0.16% with respect to the previous month compared to an increase of 0.91% recorded between corresponding months a year ago, according to Ministry of Labour and Employment.

Spain registers monkeypox death

Blinken off to Asia, Africa

Encounter breaks out between security forces, militants in J-K’s Baramulla

The security forces launched a cordon and search operation at Wanigam Bala in the Kreeri area of the district following information about the presence of militants there, a police official said. He said the search operation turned into an encounter after the militants opened firing on the security forces, who retaliated.
