The Mount Vernon City Fest, a celebration of arts and entertainment, begins today at noon on Gramatan Avenue.

The event features different types of food, art and live music.

Mount Vernon native J.B. Smooth, known for his role in “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” will make a special guest appearance.

Singer, songwriter and producer Capella Grey will also perform.

The fest will also include a health pavilion where those attending can receive free screenings and wellness information.
