KIBBUTZ GEZER, Israel — Hundreds of mates and fellow activists gathered Thursday in for a service honoring the reminiscence of Vivian Silver, a Canadian Israeli peace activist.

Silver, 74, spent her life pursuing peace within the area, her son, Yonatan Zeigen, told NPR in October.
