Madison Square Garden Entertainment Corp. said Friday that its MSG Network sports programming will no longer be available via Comcast Corp.’s Xfinity cable-TV service to some cable subscribers primarily in New Jersey and Connecticut amid a negotiating impasse between the companies.

The MSG Network airs National Basketball Association and National Hockey League games played by teams based in New York and New Jersey along with other sports programming. MSG Entertainment said Comcast rejected negotiation proposals that were consistent with MSG’s deals with other major cable providers.

Representatives for Comcast didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
