While the Trump Administration has committed the United States to returning to the moon by 2024, to be used as a launching pad for future Mars missions, NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine says they urgently need funding to meet that deadline.

But in the current economic environment, convincing Congress to provide them with the money they need may be difficult.
