Dallas, TX, July 21, 2020 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — via NEWMEDIAWIRE — NaturalShrimp, Inc. (OTCMKTS: SHMP), announced today that CSIRO Agriculture and Food’s Aquaculture Research Team in Tasmania, Australia (one of the world’s leading aquaculture institutes) has successfully completed Phase-I in vitro testing of a new technology that has proven effective at killing Neoparamoeba perurans, the parasite which causes Amoebic Gill Disease (AGD) of Atlantic salmon. With Phase-I efficacy completed, CSIRO has already received ethics approval for starting Phase-II, which will focus on fish welfare during the experimental treatment.

NaturalShrimp is funding the CSIRO research on the AGD technology through its market development partnership with Hydrenesis, Inc. (Hydrenesis), the exclusive, worldwide commercialization agent for the AGD technology in the aquaculture market.

Australia’s national science agency, CSIRO (Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation), pushes the boundaries of what is possible in innovation, science and technology. CSIRO delivers impact nationally and globally through collaboration with industry, governments and communities. CSIRO Agriculture and Food takes an integrated gene to plate approach to improve crop quality and yield, develop innovative food processing technologies, create new value-added foods, and grow our livestock, aquaculture and fishery industries. http://www.csiro.au/

NaturalShrimp’s CEO Gerald Easterling said, “We are positioning NaturalShrimp to be the leading provider of technology solutions in the fish farming business and we believe that this AGD technology from Hydrenesis is going to be a game changer for the salmon industry.”
