Just after their wedding on June 9, Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan resumed work and got busy with old and new projects. Now, they have scooped out time from their busy schedules and are off to Spain for a much-needed break. On Friday, Vignesh shared two separate posts featuring photos of himself and Nayanthara en route Barcelona. The actress looked gorgeous in a white top, which she paired with a blue jacket and denims. Vignesh too opted for a casual look and wore a black tee and jeans. Sharing the first photo, Vignesh wrote about going on a vacation and spending quality time with his wife after a “continuous streak of work.” He can be seen giving a peck on Nayanthara‘s hand as they both enjoy each other’s company on the aircraft. His post read: “After a continuous streak of work work work! Here we take some time for ourselves! Barcelona, here we come!” The filmmaker also added a bunch of smiling emojis to his caption.

In a second post, Vignesh Shivan looks happy as he clicks a selfie with Nayanthara by his side. The filmmaker expressed his joy in the caption as he wrote: “En route Barcelona with my wifey” with a couple of heart-eye, flower and red heart icons. Check out his post here:

Vignesh, who often treats us to mushy and adorable pictures of himself and Nayanthara, also shared an update about his trip to Spain on his Instagram story. Posting the logo of FC Barcelona along with a GIF of Lionel Messi, he wrote: “After a very hectic year, time for some chilling and sleeping. Barcelona, here I come to see how good you are!”

Nayanthara and Vignesh Shivan often paint Instagram red with their loved-up posts. Recently, Netflix shared the first glimpse of the couple’s wedding documentary. The teaser of the documentary titled Nayanthara: Beyond the Fairytale shows Vignesh describing the actress “beautiful inside out.”

The couple met on the sets of the 2015 film Naanum Rowdy Dhaan, where Vignesh directed Nayanthara for the lead role, and soon after that, fell in love.
