Last season, for the entirety of February, Golden State Warriors guard Jordan Poole was with the team’s G-League affiliate. Once he returned to the Warriors, he carved out a key role in the rotation, and he ended the season with double-digit scoring performances in six of his last nine games. This season, he’s a starter, and he dropped 31 points in his most recent game against the Charlotte Hornets.

Poole is third on the Warriors in cumulative Fantasy points, and on Friday, Golden State hosts a New Orleans Pelicans team that has given up the eighth-most Fantasy points to shooting guards in 2021. Poole isn’t even priced as the most expensive shooting guard on his own team on sites like FanDuel or DraftKings, where teammate Andrew Wiggins can also be rostered. Has Poole become as reliable of an option in NBA DFS lineups as he has with the Warriors? Before finalizing your NBA DFS picks for Friday, be sure to check out the NBA DFS advice, player rankings, stacks and top daily Fantasy basketball picks from SportsLine’s Mike McClure

McClure is a DFS professional with nearly $2 million in career winnings. He’s also a predictive data engineer at SportsLine who uses a powerful prediction model that simulates every minute of every game 10,000 times, taking factors like matchups, statistical trends and injuries into account.

This allows him to find the best NBA DFS values and create optimal lineups that he shares only over at SportsLine. They’re a must-see for any NBA DFS player.

On Thursday, McClure listed Pistons rookie Cade Cunningham as one of his top picks on both sites. The result: Cunningham had his best game to date with 18 points, 10 rebounds and four assists to return 36 points on FanDuel and 39 points on DraftKings. Anybody that included him in their lineups was well on the way to a profitable day.

Now, McClure has turned his attention to the Friday, November 5 NBA DFS slate and locked in his top daily Fantasy basketball picks. You can only see them by heading to SportsLine.

Top NBA DFS picks for Friday, November 5

Leading McClure’s top NBA DFS picks for Friday is Milwaukee superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo ($11,800 on DraftKings, $11,300 on FanDuel). The reigning NBA Finals MVP has been off to a torrid start again this season and is coming off of a huge performance in his last game against Detroit on Tuesday night.

Besides the 28 points he dropped on the Pistons, Antetokounmpo had four blocks, nine assists and eight rebounds. In six of his eight games this season, he’s had two or more blocks, and he’s had double-digit rebounding totals five times. Milwaukee hosts the Knicks on Friday, and in two games against New York last season, Antetokounmpo made 63 percent of his field-goal attempts and averaged 25.5 points per game. The Knicks give up the sixth-most fast-break points per game, and Antetokounmpo leads the NBA in transition points per game with 8.9.

Another key in McClure’s optimal NBA DFS strategy includes adding San Antonio power forward Thaddeus Young ($4,600 on FanDuel and $5,300 on DraftKings). The Spurs big man is coming off of his second-best Fantasy performance of the season on Wednesday, when finished with eight points, six rebounds, three assists, two blocks and two steals. The veteran wasn’t active in his team’s season-opening win against Orlando, but should factor in the rotation when the Spurs play the Magic again on Friday.

Orlando has allowed opposing power forwards to score the fifth-most Fantasy points so far this season and is coming off of a brutal 79-92 loss to Boston on Wednesday. In Orlando’s November 1 win against the Timberwolves, Karl-Anthony Towns had a monster game with 23 points and 16 rebounds. Orlando has one of the league’s youngest rosters, and Young should easily capitalize as a wily veteran on a well-coached Spurs team.
