Law & Order: SVU

Veteran NBC exec Rebecca McGill has been hired as EVP at NBCUniversal-based Wolf Entertainment.

McGill, who joins the company following a 15-year tenure at NBC, will report to COO Peter Jankowski and receive co-executive producer credits on all scripted series from now on.

The exec joined NBC in 2006 as manager of daytime programming, working her way up to SVP of current series by 2016 and overseeing shows including Wolf Entertainment-produced series.

Wolf Entertainment was founded in 1985 by Dick Wolf, and is behind several scripted franchises, including Law & Order, FBI and the Chicago series of shows.

The company currently produces nine series alongside Universal Television: FBI, FBI Most Wanted and FBI International for CBS; Chicago Fire, Chicago PD, Chicago Med, Law & Order: SVU, Law & Order: Organized Crime and the recently revived Law & Order for NBC.

“Rebecca has been invaluable, working closely with all of us at Wolf as our NBC programming executive, and we are thrilled to now make her a member of our team,” said Jankowski, according to Deadline, which first reported McGill’s hiring.
