State Rep. Mike McFall (D-Hazel Park) introduced a $2 million grant for the brand new clinic. Fundraising efforts have reportedly been underway to boost a complete of about $8 million for the undertaking.
“This grant marks a significant step toward a healthier, more equitable future for Hazel Park and beyond,” McFall mentioned in an announcement. “Corktown Health’s innovative approach to health care aligns perfectly with our community’s values, and I’m honored to support this mission.”

Corktown Health’s clinic in Hazel Park is anticipated to open in late 2024 in a 19,000-square-foot facility within the 24300 block of John R Road.

Roscoe mentioned plans are to deliver the constructing again to life with a full-scale renovation and provide medical, dental, behavioral well being, wellness and help providers.
“We are working with Albert Kahn Associates to design a state-of-the-art facility to … deliver health care service and foster inclusiveness,” Roscoe mentioned.
Corktown Health serves about 4,000 sufferers and has roughly 45 staff. The clinic that’s deliberate to open in Hazel Park will result in 20 staff, some present and others new, to serve sufferers.
