Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto gained the toss and elected to bat as his workforce bids for its first Test cricket sequence victory over New Zealand.

Bangladesh leads the two-match sequence after successful the opener by 150 runs and retained the identical beginning lineup for the second Test.
