Born to Mohammed Jameel Ahmed and Parvin Sultana in 1996, in modern-day Telangana, Nikhat Zareen is one in all India’s prime pugilists for the time being. Her first World Championship title was on May 19, 2022. Zareen clinched the gold medal within the 52 kg class defeating Jitpong Jutamas from Thailand within the flyweight closing held in Istanbul, Turkey. This accomplishment made Zareen the fifth Indian feminine boxer to safe a gold medal on the World Championships, becoming a member of the ranks of Mary Kom, Laishram Sarita Devi, Jenny RL and Lekha KC.
