EU antitrust regulators haven’t opened a proper investigation into chips used for synthetic intelligence, the European Commission mentioned on Monday, days after the French competitors authority raided Nvidia for alleged anti-competitive practices.

“There is no formal investigation by the Commission into the matter you refer to,” a spokesperson for the EU government mentioned in an electronic mail to Reuters when requested concerning the problem.

Nvidia had declined to remark following the French raid.

Bloomberg News final week mentioned the EU antitrust watchdog was informally accumulating views on doubtlessly abusive practices out there for graphics course of models.
