The National Stock Exchange (NSE) on Monday mentioned it might embody Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd (ZEEL) again into the futures and choices section.

This comes after the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT) stayed the insolvency continuing in opposition to Zee Entertainment on Friday.

The matter pertains to a default of Rs 89 crore by Essel Group’s multisystem operator arm Siti Networks claimed by IndusInd Bank, for which ZEEL was a guarantor.

The NCLAT order is a significant reprieve for ZEEL, which is merging with rival Culver Max Entertainment, previously often called Sony Pictures Networks India.

In a round on Monday, NSE mentioned it has withdrawn its earlier resolution, whereby it had excluded Zee Entertainment from the F&O section.

Further, in addition to current contracts with expiry months of March and April, the futures and choices contracts with May expiry shall be made out there for buying and selling with impact from February 28, the trade mentioned.

On Thursday, NSE mentioned that it might drop Zee Entertainment’s inventory from the F&O section. It implies that there can be no contemporary month-to-month contracts after the expiry of the February 2023 contracts. However, current March and April 2023 contracts will proceed.

In addition, the trade had mentioned {that a} margin of 100% shall be relevant on all current by-product contracts beginning February 27, 2023.
