The City of Mississauga invites media to the official opening of the Churchill Meadows Community Centre and Sports Park on Saturday, October 9, 2021.

Due to provincial gathering restrictions, this official opening event required pre-registration for members of the public and is now fully booked. Media planning to attend the event must RSVP to Bryan Sparks, Communications Advisor, at bryan.sparks@mississauga.ca or 905-615-3200 ext.3253 by Friday, October 8 at noon.
Saturday’s official opening includes a number of activities, such as: DJ and performers, facility tours and chef demonstrations, EMS and water safety showcase, storytime on a bus, pumpkin craft, community partner displays, family fitness activities, sport activities, sidewalk art, basketball shoot around and skate park pros.
About Churchill Meadows Community Centre and Sports
Located at 5320 Ninth Line, the 75,000-square foot community centre and 57-acre Sports Park offers:
- 25-metre, six-lane pool and therapeutic pool
- Triple gymnasium
- Multipurpose Room, including a teaching kitchen
- Active Living Studio
- Two lit artificial turf soccer fields, one with a seasonal dome

- Spray pad

- 9 Rathburn will service (Mon to Sun) the Churchill Meadows Community Centre via Erin Centre Blvd and Ninth Line.
- 35 Eglinton will service (Mon to Sun) the Churchill Meadows Community Centre via Erin Centre Blvd and Ninth Line.
