Ronnie O’Sullivan has referred to as Ali Carter “not a nice person” and “a nightmare” to play towards after being criticised by the crushed Masters finalist.

On Sunday, O’Sullivan rallied from 6-3 right down to beat Carter 10-7 and win a record-extending eighth Masters title.

“He’s a nightmare. To must play snooker towards somebody like that could be a nightmare. [He’s] not a pleasant particular person, not a pleasant vibe that he leaves across the desk.

“That’s it, I’ve said my piece. I’ve said it now, done.”
