PAPU NALLAH, 23 Apr: A ‘Children Sports Festival’, permitted by the National Implementation Committee and the union tradition ministry, was organised for the kids sheltered on the childcare establishment  run by the Oju Welfare Association (OWA) right here, from 21 to 23 April, as a part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.

Various indoor and outside video games and sports activities occasions, together with 100-metre race, relay race, mini-marathon, excessive bounce, lengthy bounce, soccer, volleyball, kho-kho, kabaddi, badminton, ludo, chess and carrom have been carried out in the course of the three-day occasion.

Attending the valedictory operate, Meenakshi Jha, college member of Guwahati (Assam)-based regional centre of the National Institute of Public Cooperation & Child Development, mentioned that she was “highly impressed by the talents of the children.”

Hockey Arunachal basic secretary Techi Sello spoke on the significance of sports activities in day-to-day life, and on adopting sports activities and making careers out of them.

The prizes to the winners of the occasions have been distributed by Jha, OWA chairperson Ratan Anya, and different invited company.

Earlier, the sports activities competition started with a 100-metre race, which was flagged by District Child Protection Officer Techi Ayum.
