Almond restaurant in Palm Beach has expanded its takeout menu to include added Korean tacos on Tuesdays.

In addition to its seasonal ingredient-focused fare and unfussy French classics, Almond restaurant, which debuted in Palm Beach in February, relishes featuring something else: its spin on dishes made popular by street-food vendors.

A prime example of that is now offered on Tuesdays as part of to-go dinner packages the Royal Poinciana Way restaurant is offering until it reopens dine-in service in the fall.

After launching the packages in July with lasagna on Sundays and lobster-boil feasts on Thursdays, Almond this month added Korean tacos on Tuesdays.

Korean tacos, said to have originated with Los Angeles street-food vendors, are what the term implies: tortillas with Korean-style fillings/toppings.

That can mean tacos with kimchi, bulgogi beef or other Korean favorites. Sometimes Mexican-style ingredients are added to the mix.

The tacos are served in a $45 platter, which serves two people. Orders must be placed by 11 a.m. on Tuesdays for curbside pickup at Almond between 3 and 5 p.m.
