Oakville Town Hall.

Athletes aged 12 and up who wish to take part in organized sports will temporarily be allowed to enter Town of Oakville facilities with proof of just one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. They will, however, be required to get their second dose by Oct. 31.

“Effective immediately, individuals born in and before 2009 who are not fully vaccinated (14 days after last dose) and are attending one of our recreation and culture facilities to participate in an organized sport will be allowed entry with proof of vaccination of first or second dose,” read a statement by Oakville Mayor Rob Burton.

All other attendees of recreational and cultural facilities will be required to produce proof of a second dose. Drop in sports, recreational swimming and family skate events in the winter will require proof of full vaccination.
