The Pentagon says it discovered no proof of extraterrestrial spacecraft, in a brand new report reviewing practically eight a long time of UFO sightings.

The 63-page, unclassified doc printed on Friday is essentially the most complete report the Pentagon has produced on the subject, and yet one more occasion wherein it has batted down claims of alien spaceships.

The Pentagon’s All-Domain Anomaly Resolution Office (AARO) issued the report, which covers claims of unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAP) — the navy’s time period for UFOs — relationship from 1945 by October 2023. The AARO was created in 2022 to determine and resolve experiences of UAPs.

“AARO has found no evidence that any U.S. government investigation, academic-sponsored research, or official review panel has confirmed that any sighting of a UAP represented extraterrestrial technology,” Pentagon Press Secretary Maj. Gen. Pat Ryder said in a statement Friday.

All investigative efforts concluded that the majority sightings had been extraordinary objects and the results of misidentification, Ryder stated.

Many of the sightings turned out to be drones, climate balloons, spy planes, satellites, rockets and planets, based on the report.

The report dismisses among the most explosive claims made in a July congressional hearing, wherein former navy officers claimed the federal government is concealing from the general public what it is aware of about UFOs. In one account, a former Air Force intelligence officer alleged the federal government has lengthy operated a covert program wherein it has reverse-engineered recovered UFO vessels.

“To date, AARO has found no verifiable evidence for claims that the U.S. government and private companies have access to or have been reverse-engineering extraterrestrial technology,” Ryder stated within the assertion.

The workplace plans to publish a second quantity of the report later this yr that covers findings from interviews and analysis performed between November 2023 and April 2024.
