Manice Sani’s goal from a superb Jordan Nicholson cross early in the second-half at Rushall Olympic looked to have won the day for Sports, expecially when a home player was dismissed seven minutes from time after hauling down Dion Sembie-Ferris.

But the hosts scrambled home an equaliser three minutes from time as Sports settled for a second draw from two tough matches.

Yaxley will have mixed feelings after drawing their Division One Central game 2-2 at home to St Neots Town. The Cuckoos saw goalkeeper Aaron Butcher red carded after five minutes, but still led 2-0 after 26 minutes thank to goals from Bradley Gothard and recent signing Jordan Macleod.

Saints hit back to level midway through the second-half, but stand-in goalkeeper Joel Earps delivered a superb display to preserve a point for Yaxley.

Spalding United are top of the South East Division of the Northern Premier League after two goals from midfielder Shane Clarke delivered a 2-0 win over Carlton Town. The Tuplips have won both their league fixtures so far.

Holbeach United claimed their first United Counties Premier Division win of the season as Josh Ford and Jonny Lockie scored twice in a 6-0 win over Oadby. Will Barnes scored and was then sent off for denying an obvious goalscoring opportunity late on.

Deeping Rangers and Peterborough Northern Star both conceded five goals as they were beaten by Rugby Town and Rothwell Corinthians respectively, while in Division One a Robbie Ellis goal was enough for Blackstones to beat Sileby.

Bourne drew at Irchester, but Whittlesey Athletic lost for the first time this season, 5-1 at home to leaders Melton Town.
