The PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) has introduced ten suggestions to the Government of India to expedite the National Green Hydrogen Mission. 

The National Green Hydrogen Mission, with an preliminary outlay of INR 19,744 crore ($2,385 million), goals to make India a world hub for producing, using, and exporting inexperienced hydrogen and its derivatives. The allocation consists of INR 17,490 crore for the Strategic Interventions for Green Hydrogen Transition (SIGHT) program, INR 1,466 crore for pilot initiatives, INR 400 crore for R&D, and INR 388 crore for different mission parts.

PHDCCI has proposed:

  1. Recognition of inexperienced hydrogen and inexperienced ammonia within the Harmonized List of Infrastructure
  2. Zero items and providers tax (GST) for inexperienced hydrogen/ammonia
  3. Nil fundamental customs obligation for electrolyzers and tools crucial for inexperienced hydrogen manufacturing, transportation, and storage, and extension of this profit till 2030
  4. Extension of tax advantages below Section 115BAB for inexperienced hydrogen/inexperienced ammonia manufacturing and electrolyzer manufacturing till December 31, 2030
  5. Inclusion of inexperienced hydrogen derivatives comparable to methanol and sustainable aviation gasoline (SAF) within the listing of actions eligible for buying and selling of carbon credit
  6. Amendments to Special Economic Zone (SEZ) guidelines to facilitate inexperienced hydrogen and inexperienced ammonia manufacturing, decreasing trade prices and enhancing international competitiveness
  7. Relaxation in SEZ guidelines to help renewable vitality vegetation supplying energy to inexperienced hydrogen or inexperienced ammonia items
  8. Speedy land allocation, relaxed public sale processes, cost in annuity installments, and infrastructure improvement for shared use in inexperienced hydrogen initiatives
  9. Encourage the withdrawal of further expenses for promoting energy from photo voltaic initiatives in particular states, selling renewable vitality challenge improvement for inexperienced hydrogen manufacturing
  10. Establishment of a Center of Excellence (COE) for hydrogen to offer coaching and capability constructing, together with testing benches for electrolyzers and storage tanks, aligning with worldwide requirements 

PHDCCI unveiled these suggestions on the sidelines of the third International Climate Summit, being held in New Delhi on Sept. 14 and 15 at Vigyan Bhavan.
