NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York on Saturday.
In his speech, the PM focused on global challenges such as the Covid-19 pandemic, terrorism and climate change. He also lauded the role played by India at the global stage in fighting the pandemic.
The theme for this year’s General Debate is “Building Resilience through hope to recover from Covid-19, rebuild sustainably, respond to the needs of the planet, respect the rights of people, and revitalise the United Nations”.

* In the last 1.5 years, the entire world has been facing the worst pandemic in 100 years, I pay tribute to all those have lost their lives in this deadly pandemic and I express my condolences to their families.
