Chester

— James Merriman, of Chester, was cited on a charge of possession of marijuana. Time, date and location of offense was not disclosed in the report.

Sheriff’s Office

— Residents reported between 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Friday that an unknown subject had slashed their tires while parked in the 11000 and 13000 block of Steubenville Pike Road.

— A Hanover Township resident reported at 12:28 p.m. Friday that he had received a possible fraud phone call.

— A subject reported at 9:10 a.m. Friday that a blue Chevrolet Silverado had caused ruts in his yard sometime before 9:10 a.m. Friay in the 34000 block of Salem Grange Road.

— Deputies responded to East Liverpool City Hospital at 5:38 a.m. Sept. 29 for a subject who overdosed on Cameron Road in Madison Township.

— A Cherry Street resident reported at 1:15 a.m. Saturday in Knox Township a group of juveniles playing basketball and being loud. The deputy was unable to locate the subjects.

— A Center Township resident reported at 7:01 a.m. Saturday that a group of people were shooting in the woods in the Firestone-Yeagley Wildlife Area.

— New Day Recovery reported a walkaway from their facility in the 9600 block of Union Ridge Road at 7:50 p.m. Sept. 28. The female subject told Negley EMS that she had no place to go and the treatment center would not let her return until 72 hours had passed. Dispatch attempted to contact multiple shelters around the area to house the woman until she could return. The female then asked for transport to East Liverpool City Hospital, where she was dropped off near the emergency room.

— Threats over a property dispute was phoned in around 11:10 p.m. Sept. 28 in the first block of Church Street in Salineville.

Salem

— A male caller reported at 5:56 p.m. Saturday in the 2000 block of Southeast Boulevard that his sister allegedly was stealing property for a home.

— A suspicious vehicle was parked on a complainant’s property in the 200 block of West Pershing Street at 6:33 p.m. Saturday.

— Adult Protective Services were notified after authorities responded to a medical call at 5:53 p.m. Oct. 3 in the 2000 block of Southeast Boulevard.

— Stephanie E. Herstine, of England Drive in East Palestine, was cited at 8:38 p.m. Saturday in the area of Ellsworth and Eighth with driving under suspension.

— Police investigated a loud music complaint at 9:26 p.m. Oct. 3 in the 900 block of East Fifth Street.

— Maverick J. Connors, of Salem-Alliance Road in Salem, was cited at 9:35 a.m Saturday in the area of East State and Ohio with passing over the double yellow line and excessive smoke. He also was warned for tires peeling and excessive acceleration.

— An intoxicated subject was reported defecating on the sidewalk at 10:09 p.m. Saturday in the 500 block of South Broadway Avenue.

— A male subject reported at 1 a.m. Sunday in the 500 block of Granite Avenue that his estranged girlfriend was harassing him via phone.

— A report regarding a fight at 5:02 p.m. Saturday in the 500 block of Walnut Street was forwarded to the prosecutor for possible charges.

— Salem police received complaints regarding stolen campaign signs at 2:22 p.m. Friday in the 600 block of East 3rd Street and 10 a.m. Saturday in the 1400 block of South Lincoln Avenue. The signs are valued at $5 each. The East 3rd Street resident said that this is the third time she has had her signs taken. They were recovered from her neighbor’s trash can and returned.

— A structure fire was reported at 4:35 a.m. Saturday in the 300 block of New Garden Avenue.

— A suspicious vehicle was investigated at 11:59 p.m. Friday in the parking lot of the Eagles. The driver was sleeping in his vehicle, as he had been drinking. He was given a ride home with a friend.

— A traffic stop was conducted at 4:51 p.m. Friday in the 200 block of East Second Street. Matthew Soldo, of Youngstown and a passenger in the vehicle, was served at 5:02 p.m. with a warrant for possession of drugs, while the vehicle’s driver Sara Myers, of Beloit, was cited for no operator’s license.

St. Clair Township

— Shawn Tremain, no address listed, was arrested at 12:54 a.m. Wednesday in the 15000 block of St. Clair Avenue with driving under suspension, during a shoplifting investigation at Sheetz. Tremain had thought the early morning drive with a friend to Sheetz was covered by his court driving privileges, which was limited to driving to work, medical appointments, church and Thursday grocery shopping.

— Officers responded at 10:41 p.m. Sept. 28 to the 16000 block of Irish Ridge Road for a fight. Upon contact, the alleged combatants advised this was verbal only in nature and signed domestic refusals.

— Gerald Williams Jr., no address listed, was arrested at 10:48 a.m. Sept. 28 in Calcutta Giant Eagle, after allegedly shoplifting $20.78 worth of merchandise.

— Brittany Wilke, no address listed, was arrested at 3:53 p.m. Sept. 28 in East Liverpool Walmart on a charge of theft, after she and another subject selected multiple items from several departments and Wilke failed to pay for them after going through the self-checkout. The report doesn’t note whether the other subject was charged or not. Both people, however, were issued no trespassing notices from Walmart but free to go. The report was incomplete as of Sunday.
