As police proceed to analyze a spate of robberies that befell throughout Auckland over the week, they’ve a “particular” give attention to the id of one of many alleged offenders.

Three sports activities bars had been robbed on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, the place the alleged offenders used hammers to smash by home windows and allegedly threatened workers with a gun.

Police have now singled out one of many alleged offenders, who was caught on CCTV.

“Last night there was an increased police presence in the area,” Friend mentioned.

The supervisor of Wapiti Sports Bar in Auckland’s Point Chevalier mentioned his workers had been unable to sleep after intruders broke in and allegedly pointed weapons on the bar employees’ heads.

Nobody was harmed within the incident.

Friend mentioned police had been persevering with to point out a “no tolerance” angle to crime.

He requested members of the general public to report any crimes going down locally.

“Members of the public can assist us respond to crime by reporting suspicious behaviour in their neighbourhoods and places of work.

“If there may be legal or anti-social behaviour occurring proper now, name 111, or 105 whether it is after the actual fact.”
