SAMBA, Aug 28: Pandit Prem Nath Dogra Government Degree College Samba (PPNDGDC) inaugurated Intra faculty sports activities occasions with Tug of War and Lemon race marking the National Sports Day as a tribute to the delivery anniversary of Major Dhyan Chand.
On the primary day, Tug of War (Boys and Girls) and Lemon Race (Girls) competitions have been held. The Tug of War occasion noticed enthusiastic participation from 20 boys and 20 women. Team B of women and group A of boys emerged because the winners within the competitors.
In Lemon Race, 12 women showcased their agility and aggressive spirit. Ripu Devi from Semester (III) clinched the primary place; Palavi Salaria of Semester (III) bagged the second place adopted by Sandeep Kour of Semester (III) with third place.
Professor (Dr.) Twinkle Suri, Principal of the school motivated the scholars to actively interact in such enriching sports activities. She additional deliberated that such sports activities actions assist the scholars to develop each mentally and bodily that results in their holistic improvement.
