PRESS RELEASE — The Quantum Internet Alliance (QIA) has formally launched the world’s first world quantum web expertise discussion board on the Mobile World Congress 2024 in Barcelona on 26 February 2024.

Aimed at accelerating engagement on quantum web with a broader vary of stakeholders, the launch of the QIA Technology Forum (QIATF) will join and increase the QIA collaboration to a various ecosystem of trade, academia, ecosystem companions and key gamers alongside all the quantum web worth chain throughout the globe.

“Understanding the potential of the quantum internet for the future users and market needs will allow for accelerated transition from research to engineering products and tailored solutions for quantum internet. The QIATF is our platform to facilitate such engagement and pave the road for early commercial deployment of quantum internet technology innovations” Prof. Dr. Stephanie Wehner, QIA Director and QuTech/Delft University of Technology Antoni van Leeuwenhoek Professor in Quantum Information, emphasised.

QIATF is an open discussion board that can give attention to technical interplay with pioneering, ahead – pondering stakeholders dedicated and devoted to the quantum web expertise growth, to constructing and broadening of the worldwide quantum web ecosystem and its business deployment. QIA welcomes all organisations in Europe and past to take part to the QIA Technology Forum. Its membership is organised such that it permits for 3 ranges of engagement: (1) Core Member, (2) Adopter Member, and (3) Associate Member.

Its technical work can be organised in Special Interest Groups (SIGs), whereby QIA and related stakeholders will be capable of bridge the data between the established trade gamers and the QIA members. The QIATF will kick off with two (2) SIGs specializing in (1) interactions with community operators – spearheaded by Telecom Italia, and (2) Space/terrestrial interface for quantum web – spearheaded by Thales Alenia Space.

“The activities of QIATF adhere the QIA vision of building a global internet made in Europe and align with QIA’s roadmap. We envision the QIATF to grow exponentially in the next few years, serving as a robust vehicle for technical exchange on quantum internet between industry, academia, and research and technology organisations.” Vlora Rexhepi-van der Pol, QIA Innovation Manager famous.

Currently, now we have QIATF members in 9 (9) international locations throughout Europe (checklist of members could be discovered here). To study extra about QIA and QIATF please go to: https://quantuminternetalliance.org/qiatf/”https://quantuminternetalliance.org/qiatf/
