The Entertainment Community Fund’s sold-out, one-night-only profit efficiency of “Ragtime” has raised greater than $1 million in assist of its applications. The occasion — initially scheduled for 2020 and placed on maintain as a result of pandemic — was held on March 27, 2023, at Broadway’s Minskoff Theatre. 

All proceeds from the night, in addition to web proceeds from merchandise gross sales, will assist the Fund, which helps leisure professionals through emergency monetary help, workshops, assist teams, psychological well being assets and extra. “The ‘Ragtime’ reunion concert was such a gift to everyone involved: everyone on stage performing and working tirelessly backstage to make it happen; all those in the audience, many of whom had held on to their original tickets for over three years; and the people in our entertainment community who the Fund will be able to help thanks to everyone’s support and generosity,” stated “Ragtime” solid member and the Fund’s chair, Brian Stokes Mitchell, in an announcement.

Original principal solid members Audra McDonald, Mitchell and Peter Friedman reunited as Sarah, Coalhouse Walker Jr. and Tateh, respectively. Kelli O’Hara performed the position of Mother, originated by the late Marin Mazzie. The full company consisted primarily of performers and musicians from the unique Broadway manufacturing.

Lea Michele, who created the position of “Little Girl,” was additionally readily available to introduce a tribute honoring “Ragtime” firm members who’ve handed away. The live performance was devoted to their reminiscence.
