“Rana dedicated two Level 1 offences below Article 2.5 of the IPL’s Code of Conduct. He was fined 10 p.c and 50 p.c of his match charges for the 2 respective offences. Rana admitted to the 2 offences and accepted the Match Referee’s sanction. Legendary India batter Sunil Gavaskar was not impressed with Harshit Rana as he had his say in regards to the matter on commentary.

“He shouldn’t have finished that. Did the batsman do something to him when he was hitting him for sixes? Cricket will be performed with out these antics. It’s the age of tv. I perceive that. Celebrate together with your teammates however no want for such antics for the opposition,” he said on commentary.
