School is in full swing, the summer drought is over and festival season in Shreveport is just around the corner. There is so much to look forward to in the coming months, but there’s a lot already happening you may have missed out on.

Geeking Out Over Geek’d Con

Another year at Geek’d Con has come and gone and there were a lot of “Scream” worthy guest celebrities, impressive cosplays and lots of great vendors selling fun geek-inspired crafts, artwork and more. Check out everything you missed out on here.

Say Hello to the New Restaurant at artspace

Shreveport said a sad goodbye to Parish Taceaux at artspace earlier this year. However, a new restaurant is finally filling the space at artspace it left behind and there’s been a lot of excitement over Pepito XO and it’s finally opening up for business.

Eyes on the Prize

Prize Fest is arguably Shreveport’s most anticipated event of the year and it’s almost here. The Prize Foundation have been announcing the finalists for the different Prize Fest categories over the last week and we’ve got them all right here for you.

Louisiana Food Prize's event Prize Fest 2021: Back in the Streets! was held Friday evening, Oct. 1, 2021, on Texas Street in downtown Shreveport.
