The Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games Day 3 Evening topped entertainment on Sunday, as the network also celebrated an overall network share win, and at the same time won the week.

The program aired to 716,000 metro viewers, followed by the Day 3 Night session which aired to 639,000 metro viewers, also winning all three key advertising demos.

In the latest Daily Consolidated Total TV Report for 17 July, Seven News was the #1 program nationally across linear, with 1.463 million viewers, including 32,000 on BVOD, and an uplift of 2%. The biggest uplift of the week was an episode of Beauty and the Geek on Nine with an uplift of 34% and aired to a total audience of 723,000.

Meanwhile, Seven beat Nine in the week ending 30 July with a network share of 30.2% over Nine’s 26.2%, Ten finished the week on 19.1%, and ABC with a 15.8% share.

Seven also won the primary channel share for the week, with a 20.6% share ahead of Nine’s 18.2%, and the top multi-channel for the week was 7Mate on 4.3%.

Looking back at Sunday’s ratings, next in entertainment was Joanna Lumley’s Great Cities of the World on ABC, which aired to an average metro audience of 493,000, followed by Hunted on Ten which brought in 492,000 metro viewers. The program also won key advertising demos, 18-49s.

In sports, Sunday’s AFL game aired to a metro audience of 284,000, while Sunday’s NRL game aired to an average metro audience of 220,000.

Meanwhile, Seven News was the #1 metro program on Sunday with 1.033 million metro viewers followed by Nine News on Sunday with 840,000 metro viewers. Nine’s 60 Minutes pulled in 632,000 viewers, and ABC News brought in 551,000.

Seven won the night, taking an overall network share of 37.5% over Nine’s 25.2%, while Ten took an 18.1% share and the ABC had 13.8%.

Seven also won the primary channel share, and the top-rating multi-channel on Sunday was 7Mate with a share of 4.8%.
