OSCODA – The Shoreline Players will be presenting a series of outdoor events called the Corona Cabaret Saturday Series beginning this Saturday.
2020 has been a year like no other and these shows will be different than anything Shoreline Players has produced. The Cabaret format allows the performers to select much of the material and rehearse individually. The outdoor venue allows for them to perform and audiences to safely enjoy a show.
These events will take place outside the Shoreline Players Theater. Each week there will be a different theme beginning with Broadway followed by Classics and closing with Singer’s Choice.
Renee Diener will serve as the host for the shows. Several performers will be familiar from the Players’ fall production of Hats Off to Broadway II. There will also be other veterans of the Shoreline stage as well as some newcomers singing.
These are weather permitting outdoor events. So, watch the forecast, bring a comfy chair and maybe even a blanket. Performances will be Saturday, Sept. 19, 26 and Oct. 3 at 5 p.m. Admission is free but there will be opportunities to support the group.
