DIGITAL buckets and spades for a virtual beach, a talking tree and the chance to ‘chase’ zombies will all feature in Scotland’s first indoor play and interactive activity centre which opens in Glasgow next month.

Fun Street, at Silverburn Shopping Centre, is the first entertainment complex in the country to combine augmented reality games and traditional soft play for children aged from birth to 12 years.

COVID-19 restrictions on soft play centres are to be removed from September 14, two days before Fun Street is due to open.

Glasgow Times:

Owners Usman and Shafea Qureshi have transformed the two-level, 14,000 square foot building into a “world of wonder” for families and young people.

“For the last two years, we have been working hard to bring our dream for Fun Street to life,” said Dr Qureshi.

Split into six zones, the centre includes an augmented climbing wall and digital gaming walls – where the zombie-chasing takes place – for older children; and soft play and the Fun Street ‘town’ plus a sensory area and storytelling ‘talking tree’ for younger children.
