The latest statement from MGM Healthcare Hospital reveals that singer SP Balasubrahmanyam is on ventilator and ECMO support.
SP Balasubrahmanyam is currently on ventilator and ECMO support, said the hospital bulletin.
Singer SP Balasubrahmanyam is currently on ventilator and ECMO (Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation) support in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), read MGM Healthcare Hospital’s latest bulletin. His doctors are constantly monitoring his vitals, which seem to be satisfactory at this point. SP Balasubrahmanyam’s health condition worsened on the night of August 13 after which he was put on a ventilator.
The hospital’s press statement read, “Thiru S P Balasubrahmanyam who had been admitted at MGM Healthcare due to COVID-19 continues to be critical and is on ventilator and Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) support in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). The expert medical team treating him is closely monitoring his vital parameters which are satisfactory at this point of time.”
The entire country is praying for the speedy recovery of singer SP Balasubrahmanyam. Though there are slight improvements in his health, his fans want him to recover completely.
Earlier today, Kamal Haasan, Rajinikanth, Ilaiyaraaja, AR Rahman and several other celebrities organised a mass prayer meet on August 20 at 6 pm. Bharathiraja, Vairamuthu, GV Prakash, Karthi and AR Murugadoss are the other celebrities who requested people to join the prayer meet.
As reported earlier, the prayer meet will be held at their respective homes tomorrow from 6 pm to 6.05 pm. Those who take part in the prayer meet are requested to play any SPB song.
Yesterday, Megastar Chiranjeevi, who shares a close bond with SPB took to social media to post a video message on his health condition. He said that he is delighted to hear that SP Balasubrahmanyam is responding well to the treatment.
SP Balasubrahmanyam tested positive for the novel coronavirus and got himself admitted at the private hospital on August 5.
