SBC 1st edition of Open Volleyball Tournament 2021 underway

Kohima | November 6

Nagaland Football Coaches Association (NFCA) president Roko Angami today graced the 1st edition of Open Volleyball Tournament 2021 organised by Seiyhama Baptist Church *SBC) at Seiyhama village under Kohima district.

Speaking on the occasion, Roko, who is also president of Northern Angami Youth Organization (NAYO) said that sports brings the people together and thanked Seiyhama Baptist Church for opening an opportunity to the youth to compete and have fellowship for good through volleyball tournament.

To become a good sportsperson, one must have strong determination, discipline, and respect and obey the coaches and at the same time abide by the rules and regulations of any sports discipline, he said.

A “blame game” should not be allowed to exist in the field of sports, he said, adding that one must avoid intoxigating things as a good social behavior is crucial for successful life. He also maintained that one must stay focus in whatever field he/she is good at and give their best to attain par excellence.

Earlier, the inaugural function was led by Rheituolie Metha while Savio Metha administered oath to 23 participating teams.
