New Delhi [India], March 23 (ANI): The Ministry of External Affairs on Thursday highlighted that in India’s SCO presidency, it’ll deal with three pillars: Startups and Innovations, Science and Technology and Traditional medication.
“As India chairs Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) meeting – taking into consideration PM Narendra Modi’s message – three pillars have been formed: Startups and Innovations, Science and Technology and Traditional medication,” stated Dammu Ravi, Secretary (ER), Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India on Thursday.
Ravi made the above remarks whereas addressing the media on the worldwide convention on Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) ‘Reconnect-Rejuvenate’ organised in collaboration with Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India.
Citing the abovementioned pillars, he stated, “India will focus on these pillars during its presidency. Numerous events are being organised, so we hope that we will be able to give greater impetus for these three pillars.”
When requested concerning the significance of the convention, Deputy Secretary General, Dammu Ravi stated that this two-day convention SCO ‘Reconnect-Rejuvenate’ was organised by Indian Council of World Affairs for the SCO member nations.”

He also said, “This convention will focus on wide-ranging subjects. About 25 consultants are collaborating and can focus on concepts and options and challenges within the area.”
Speaking on what events will be organised during the SCO convention, “This convention will focus on wide-ranging subjects. About 25 consultants are collaborating and can focus on concepts and options and challenges within the area.”
He adds, “We need to see SCO areas within the context of world disaster as properly as a result of there are penalties and implications for all. During this two-day conference- will focus on all new dimensions and are available out with options in order that new concepts are generated for policymakers. This might be helpful coming ahead.”
“There is a priority for destabilisation, and multilateralism being undermined. That is a typical concern for all of us,” said Ravi, while concluding himself.
SCO is an important transregional organisation that aims to strengthen economic linkages and cooperation among its Member States in different fields. Every year, SCO develops a calendar of activities, which includes the Meeting of the Foreign Ministers.
India has formally sent invitations to all members of the SCO together with Pakistan and China for the upcoming international ministers’ assembly which might be held in Goa from May 4-5.
India took over the chairmanship of the 9-member mega grouping in September final 12 months and might be holding key ministerial conferences and the summit this 12 months. (ANI)
