“We need to
work with stakeholders who all have a lever into the workforce pipeline and the
capability to offer sensible and sustainable options to the challenges we
face immediately.

“Undeniably,
all of us have a collective duty and we need to be sure we’ve got the
correct mix of employees working in a versatile, secure and supportive atmosphere.

“The Cook Government, along with the
Health Department and the Health Service Providers, are already delivering a
complete suite of employees attraction and retention initiatives and have
grown WA’s public sector healthcare workforce FTE by 29 per cent since 2017.

“However, this
summit will invite business leaders to collaborate on further options to proceed
to foster a robust, devoted healthcare workforce and entice younger individuals to
take up a profession in drugs, particularly within the areas.
