Telangana BJP chief Bandi Sanjay Kumar — who was arrested amid midnight drama on Wednesday — has been granted bail. On Wednesday, he was despatched to jail for 2 weeks.

Taken into police custody on Tuesday night time, the MP from Karimnagar was later arrested over the leak of secondary college examination papers — a cost that his celebration has dismissed as politically motivated.

His arrest has set off an enormous political row and drew criticism from the celebration’s Central management in New Delhi.

In an open letter, Mr Kumar mentioned such conspiracies wouldn’t demoralise the celebration and the cadre.

“Arresting me and harassing the BJP workers were like hitting the ball to the ground. We shall only bounce back with the same force,” he wrote within the letter to the celebration cadre amid the BJP’s basis day celebrations.

The BJP, which is making an attempt to carve out a distinct segment within the nation’s youngest state, has accused Chief Minister Ok Chandrasekhar Rao of corruption, nepotism and minority appeasement. Mr Rao’s authorities has been in energy within the state since its creation in 2014.  

The BJP, which received 4 parliamentary seats of the state in 2019, is hoping for greater features within the meeting election due later this yr.

On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is predicted to go to the state to inaugurate a number of growth initiatives and handle a public rally.
