From The Tribune staff reports

TRUSSVILLE — The Trussville Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting City Fest on Saturday, Sept. 26, 2020, and the city of Trussville is planning the downtown entertainment district opening celebration for the same day.

Mayor Buddy Choat said he wants to see the events coinciding so there can be an all-day celebration in the heart of the city.

Trussville City Fest 2020 “Tailgate and Celebrate” will begin at 8 a.m. and last until. Activities will set up all along Main Street starting at the new entertainment district all the way to Veteran’s Park.

City Fest, formerly known as Dog Daze, is Trussville’s signature community event. The festival turns 40 years old this year.

After City Fest, Three on a String will perform on the new stage near Ferus Artisan Ales.

Both events will be family-friendly.
