PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — UPMC says new technology will mean less expensive prescriptions.

It is part of a deal with medical technology company RxRevu. UPMC doctors will be able to see their patients’ benefits if they have UPMC Health Plan.

They say that will let doctors consider lower-cost prescriptions for patients.
