The U.S. Transportation Department on Thursday awarded $60 million in emergency aid funding to Maryland after the collapse of the Francis Scott Key Bridge in Baltimore, a supply advised Reuters.

The “quick release” federal award comes quickly after Maryland Governor Wes Moore on Thursday sought the funding, saying in an announcement it might assist mobilization, operations, and particles removing, “laying the foundation for a rapid recovery.” A proper announcement of the funding is predicted Thursday night.
