Chandigarh: The UT administration on Friday notified the recruitment guidelines for constables underneath group C within the Chandigarh Police, introducing 5% quota for sportspersons. Till now, the quota of sports was solely within the posts of house guard.
The guidelines had been notified by the UT house division after the approval of UT administrator Banwarilal Purohit.
The guidelines are for each feminine and male classes.
Provisions have been made relating to direct recruitment to the posts of constables.
A complete of 90% posts will likely be stuffed via aggressive recruitment, 5% on compassionate grounds and 5% via sports activities quota. Apart from this, 18% SC candidates, 27% OBC and 10% Economically Weaker Section will likely be within the reservation. TNN
