You may know him as ‘Iron Mike’ or ‘Kid Dynamite’ who boxed his way into scripting history in the sport as one of the greatest ever boxers to have graced the world stage for two decades where the American legend competed professionally between 1985 to 2005. 

Later known as “The Baddest Man on the Planet” in his career, 55-year-old former heavyweight boxing champion, Mike Tyson, is all prepared to set the Indian theatre screens ablaze by featuring in a multi-star cast mass spectacle of a movie being shot simultaneously in Hindi and Telugu languages. 

Starring young actors Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday in the lead roles, Tyson will be seen as a supporting character alongside Ramya Krishnan in the magnum opus being written and directed by renowned filmmaker Puri Jagannadh. The Indian sports action film is set to hit the screens next year with a release slated for 2022 and is being jointly produced by Karan Johar, Charmme Kaur, Apoorva Mehta, Hiroo Yash Johar, and Jagannadh under the banners of Dharma Productions and Puri Connects. 

The film will be released in Hindi and Telugu along with the dubbed versions in Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam languages. It was initially planning a theatrical premiere in November 2020, but the filming halt due to the COVID-19 pandemic caused its postponement well into 2022. 

The dashing 32-year-old Telugu superstar, Deverakonda, shared the initial promo teaser and the motion picture’s poster for the world to see on his official Instagram handle that has received over 1.3 million views and 9 lakh likes within 24 hours of it being uploaded. While the GOAT debate across many sports in the world continues to drag on, be it between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic, and Rafael Nadal in Tennis or Mike Tyson and Muhammad Ali in boxing, for Tyson, he made it crystal clear once and for all by saying that Muhammad Ali is the greatest ever to have lived even for him.

With that being said, Tyson still receives admiration and worldwide fandom for his incredible longevity as a boxer and for all the fights that inspired whole generations to take up the sport by becoming an immortal boxing legend.
