One of the top uncommitted players in the 2022 recruiting class will make his commitment live Tuesday on CBS Sports HQ. Gabriel Brownlow-Dindy, a five-star defensive lineman out of Lakeland High School in Florida, will make his choice at 5 p.m. ET. You can watch the announcement live in the video at the top of this page, on the CBS Sports App or via your connected device (Roku, Amazon Fire, Apple TV).

Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Ohio State, Clemson and Florida are listed among Brownlow-Dindy’s finalists. The Sooners are considered the favorite to land one of the 10 best players in the class, according to the 247Sports Crystal Ball projections. Both of Brownlow-Dindy’s parents attended OU.

Listed at 6-foot-3 and 280 pounds, Brownlow-Dindy ranks among the highest-rated prospects in the nation. The 247Sports Composite ranking lists him as the No. 10 overall player in the nation and No. 2 defensive lineman in the class. 247Sports analysts are even higher on Brownlow-Dindy’s potential, rating him the No. 3 player in the class.

Brownlow-Dindy would be one of the most significant recruits of the Lincoln Riley era in Norman if he commits to Oklahoma, and the Floridian would be the top defensive recruit to commit to land with the Sooners since R.J. Washington in 2008. His addition would push Oklahoma up to the nation’s No. 8 class despite just 15 commitments.

247Sports Southeast Recruiting Analyst Andrew Ivins had this scouting report on Brownlow-Dindy:

Encouraging, well-proportioned build. Up and over 6-foot-2, 270 pounds. Spent part of youth doing Mixed Martial Arts. Posted elite testing numbers for an interior defensive lineman the summer before his junior season. Explodes off the ball with the first-step quickness to invade gaps. Coordinated athlete that doesn’t lose his balance or bearing easily. Understands how to bend and use leverage. Keeps feet moving and plays with steady energy. Mauling tackler with the grip strength to corral ball carriers…can win with a simple bull rush at the point of attack, but will also swim his way past blockers. Ability to just fire out of his stance and uncoil, however, might be his best pass-rushing attribute.
