Weather Live Updates: The India Meteorolgical Department (IMD) has forecast remoted extraordinarily heavy rainfall over Mumbai, Konkan areas, Goa, ghat areas of central Maharashtra and Gujarat over the following 24 hours. The climate division has additionally predicted remoted very heavy rainfall over Himachal Pradesh and East Rajasthan. Heavy rainfall can also be possible over Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, east and west Rajasthan, Goa, central Maharashtra, Gujarat, Mumbai, Kerala, Karnataka, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Odisha, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura, Assam, Meghalaya.

The water stage of the Yamuna river in Delhi, which has been near the danger mark of 205.33 metres since the previous few days, declined slightly this morning – 205.27 m at 10 am. It is about to fall additional to round 204.95 m by 7 pm, in line with the Central Water Commission.

Raigad landslide: Lost our pricey ones… have no idea what lies forward for us, say survivors

For Sunita Pardhi, surviving a massive landslide has left her with extra questions and worries.

“We don’t know what lies ahead for us,” says Pardhi, who’s amongst those that survived the landslide which swept Irshalwadi, a hilly tribal village in Khalapur tehsil of Raigad district. Sunita says that their household had collectively misplaced 9 members. Amongst these survived within the household was Radhika Pardhi (14) and her sister, Sonu Pardhi (9) who had been staying at their maternal uncle’s residence, which is near their college in Mangaon when the tragedy struck.

However, the sisters misplaced their mother and father and their properties within the fury of the landslide. “I was sleeping near our farm where we used to cultivate Nachni. I managed to escape with four members of my family including my five-year-old son, Cheena Pardhi,”,says Sunita, who’s Radhika and Sonu’s aunt.
