Lalit Jha, the alleged mastermind behind the Parliament smoke scare, surrendered to the Delhi Police yesterday, a day after 5 others have been arrested following the large safety breach that shocked the nation.

  1. Lalit Jha had been lacking because the incident. He is from Bihar however was working as a trainer in Kolkata, the police mentioned. On Thursday, he turned himself in at a police station at Kartavya Path close to Parliament.

  2. Five males and a girl have been charged underneath the anti-terror regulation Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) and sections of the Indian Penal Code.

  3. Jha was impressed by legendary freedom fighter Bhagat Singh, the police mentioned.
