In the wake of India’s heart-wrenching World Cup ultimate loss to Australia, former cricketer Sunil Gavaskar praises the workforce’s resilience, emphasizing their fast transition from defeat to motion.

While the haunting picture of a shattered Team India lingers, the cricketing world has moved ahead, with India securing a 4-1 T20I collection win in opposition to Australia and drawing the South Africa T20Is 1-1.

Gavaskar sheds gentle on the distractions that adopted the World Cup, notably the IPL 2024 retentions. Within days of the ultimate, all 10 IPL franchises revealed their retained and launched gamers, making a buzz within the cricketing neighborhood. Despite the ongoing five-match T20 series between India and Australia, the significance of the memorable World Cup overshadowed interest in the T20 series, except for devoted Indian cricket fans,” Gavaskar wrote in his column on Mid Day.

Gavaskar acknowledges the dearth of curiosity within the T20I collection, with key gamers absent and followers nonetheless recovering from the extreme World Cup. The focus shifted to the IPL switch window, as followers eagerly awaited information of participant transfers and releases.

“Key players from both teams were absent, giving no strong reason to tune into the T20 series after the intense two months of high-quality ODI cricket. The real excitement lay in the transfer and trade activities scheduled for the week’s deadline. Indian fans were eagerly anticipating updates on player transfers, releases, and team destinations,” he added.
